In 2016, the Cup of Russia on sports knife throwing will be held in 4 stages: Winter - St. Petersburg, spring - Volgograd, summer - Samara, autumn - Moscow. The final standings will be based on the best three stages. The first stage - "Cup of the North-West" will be held on January 23-24.

Throughout 2015 each month in St. Petersburg took place knife throwing tournaments under the title "Throwing practice". These were simple exercises at distances of 3 and 5 meters in which any newcomer would not hesitate to try their hand with members of different throwing clubs in St. Petersburg.
